Flora and Fauna | Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel

The gardens at Lindeth Fell are especially beautiful in Spring and early Summer, with magnificent displays of azaleas and rhododendrons, but are beautiful in all seasons with colourful trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders.

Lawns are laid for bowling, croquet, pitch and putt and putting. In a quiet corner a small Lake is a pleasant retreat and a haunt for wildlife.

Rhododendrons and azaleas must be considered amongst the aristocrats of the plant world, because of their range of bloom and colours. Here at Lindeth Fell we are fortunate in having a wide range of varieties including a magnificent clump of 'Val d'Aulnay' and 'Chevalier Felix de Sauvage' both of which flower heavily every year.

A most attractive feature of the garden at Lindeth Fell is the wide range of colour when the rhododendrons are in bloom, pink, blue, purple, white cream and all the yellows.
